General Description

This sunny two-bedroom cottage is only a short walk (three blocks) to all 3 Shaw Festival theatres and shopping on Queen Street.

Great for families, the fenced backyard backs onto a park, with tennis courts and the town swimming pool. There's room for kids to play in the finished, carpeted recreation room (board games, some toys, and a vcr/tv with lots of kids' videos). Babysitters can be arranged.

The cottage sleeps up to four in two main-floor bedrooms (a queen bed in each). Comfort and privacy are the priorities: Smoke- and pet-free, cotton sheets, air conditioning and ceiling fans, books, a dvd/tv, a cd player, a fully-equipped kitchen and a laundry room.

Walk, rollerblade, or bicycle from the front door to Fort George and the Niagara Parkway waterfront trail.

Swim in the public pool or play tennis on the town courts behind the cottage.

Within cycling distance to wineries.

Directions

From Toronto Follow the QEW toward Niagara. Once across the Garden City Skyway at St. Catharines, take the NOTL exit (38B). From the traffic light at York Rd., the Shaw is signposted left onto York Rd., then right onto Hwy 55. Follow Hwy 55 (Niagara Stone Rd.) East into town. Turn right on Centre St. (follow through to King St.), turn left on King St., then turn right on Nelles St.

From Detroit Take Hwys 401 & 403 to Hamilton, Ontario, and join the QEW toward Niagara, the follow the same route as the traffic from Toronto (see above)

From NY, Ohio, or Pennsylvania Cross the Niagara River into Canada at Buffalo or Niagara Falls. Take the QEW to Hwy 55, then follow the same route as the traffic from Toronto (see above)

For U.S. visitors who cross the border at the Lewiston N.Y. Bridge to Queenston, Ontario:
Follow the I-190 North over bridge and customs to Highway 405.
On Highway 405 take the Stanley Street exit.
Follow the signs to Niagara-on-the-Lake via the Niagara Parkway. Turn left on King St., then left on Nelles St.
