The Montgomery house, the quintessential perfect home away from home, is located in the heart of Old Town Niagara-on- the-Lake, nestled next door to the Niagara’ Historical Museum and less than a 5 minute walk to the Queen Street shops and restaurants. Built in Circa 1890’s, the Montgomery House is the ideal vacation home if you are seeking the charm and warmth of yesteryear but with all of today modern amenities. It is situated on beautiful grounds surrounded by mature trees and a child friendly garden with an activity centre and ample space for a game of croquet or Bocce Ball or a private late evening dinner.

The Montgomery House offers 4 bedrooms, one queen bedroom on the main floor with an ensuite bathroom including handicapped features and three bedrooms on the second floor. Two of the upstaires bedrooms have a queen bed and the other bedroom has extra-length twin beds. One bedroom has an ensuite bathroom that includes an antique claw-foot tub and walk-in shower. The other two bedrooms share an additional full bathroom with shower.

As you walk up the wide front entrance steps and onto the wraparound front porch, you will immediately sense the warmth and charm of this home. Picking which one of the wicker chairs as your choice of seating may be the hardest part of this holiday.

As you enter into the front hall, you will immediately see the care and attention given by craftsmen of a bygone era who toiled to build this home. You will feel a calm, soothing atmosphere from the aged oak staircase to the aged honey coloured original wooden floors on both floors.

The oversized, cheerful living room and lounge is the ideal place for a quiet chat with friends or simply curl up with a good book and watch the world go by... It is beautifully decorated with high-end furniture and includes a media center with a digital TV (hidden in the antique armoire), CD and DVD player.

The centre of the Home is the large, bright and fully equipped kitchen that includes a fridge/freezer, gas stove, electric oven, microwave and dishwasher. The massive centre island is perfect for gourmet cooking or simply sitting at the bar while making a cup of freshly brewed coffee. The breakfast/dining area has a beautiful farmer’s style table and chairs, perfect for any occasion.
